Is anyone listening?
I am serious. Is anyone listening?
If you have read any of my work, you would realize I write on dark and grey shades of life. I can not only live with the title of being called a pessimist but also take that as a compliment for me staying in touch with [My] reality.
So, with the disclaimer out of the way, I can dive right in. All through what we have lived through 2024 [254 days] — I am as if reminded by the universe of the theme that “No one cares” and “No one is listening” to you. The reason I wrote “reminded” is because this is a theme I first strongly felt around 20 years back.
I was strongly convinced that the world as it runs is deeply flawed and out of balance. It is even unfair to a great extent. Since I have already spelled out my disclaimer earlier — I would not mind if you quit reading right away, call me a whiner and look elsewhere.
Well if you are still here. Thank you! Thank you for [trying] to listen to me. Actually I am not alone. I have a deep conviction that many people deeply feel unheard, unseen and hence deeply lonely. It is not physical loneliness but deeply spiritual. You are surrounded by people and yet every pore of your body is pretending [Knowingly or Unknowingly] to fit in. You do not resonate with the ideas or the beliefs or the acts but are fighting an inner battle to just try one more time to like the joke, the idea or the plan.
